Throughout Sounding September, sound practitioners across Australia are coming together to host events in support of the Boris Hess Foundation in Bhaktapur, Nepal - each contributing within their own community, but all connected by one shared purpose.
 

These events and this initiative were already being lovingly planned before the recent devastating floods and landslides in Nepal. While Sounding September is focused on supporting the Foundation’s longer-term education and humanitarian projects, what has unfolded makes this collective effort feel even more meaningful. It is a powerful reminder of how valuable ongoing support can be, and how much can happen when people come together with care and intention.

At its heart, Sounding September is about community, connection and shared contribution - different practitioners, different places, one sound community supporting something beyond ourselves.
